La Rosa was where we stayed at the beginning and end of our trip to Manuel Antonio. The hotel owner (Alexandra), Amanda (at the front desk), and Ruben (front desk) were all super nice and helpful. ...
This past year has been a very busy one for Hotel La Rosa de America and so, as a thank you to our staff, we rented a van, left a skeleton crew of volunteer staff behind to mind the hotel and zipped down to the coast for a day of fun. We combined this adventure with our yearly Christmas party so we got the hotel decorated and festive at the same time!
First stop was Tarcoles River Bridge (lots of Crocodiles here!) and then we continued down to the Jungle Villas Lodge in Manuel Antonio for the afternoon where we had lunch and enjoyed their three swimming pools.
Getting out of the pools resulted in a complex decision process of what to do next… with the ultimate decision being… “Lets go to the beach!”. So, with the Hotel Owner driving, everyone piled onto the Manuel Antonio beach for a couple more hours – eventually returning to the Jungle Villas after dark.
All that hard work playing in the pools and beach worked up a big Christmas appetite so the next stop was the popular restaurant Ronnies run by none other than the semi-retired executive chef Ronnie! This place has incredible views and even at night, one can appreciate the feeling of standing on the edge of the World, looking out over the black ocean into infinity.
After all enjoyed supper we then piled back into the van for the return to the Central Valley and the hotel. All in all a great time and a fun way to say thank you to the staff at La Rosa for all out past successes and hopes for the future.
